Yesterday marked the end of the this year's official celebrations for King Bhumibol of Thailand's 60th anniversary on the throne. There were lots of events all over Pattaya to commemorate his birthday on December 5th.There was a candlelight parade by the Lions Club, many acts of thahm boon (see below) and other Buddhist ceremonies, a Fun Run, a Jazz Festival (on the 11th and 12th actually), a parade at the navy base, and some help-the-environment activities as well.
All in all a very nice day here in Pattaya commemorating his Majesty's birthday.
