Asia Games Runner Fails Gender Test

This seems to me to be rather unfair. The female runner in question was tested and was found to have a chromosomal abnormality... a Y chromosome... called Swyer Syndrome, giving her a muscular advantage. Because of that, she was disqualified from the medal she won. She was born that way, wasn't even aware of it, and couldn't do anything about it if she wanted to. Men with an extra Y chromosome (XYY Syndrome) grow abnormally tall. Would you ban them from basketball because of their unfair advantage? Ban big fat guys from the NFL and Sumo while you're at it. Poor girl. This is why they stopped doing this sort of testing in the Olympics.
