So after replacing many of the tiles, all the grout, two pumps, lots of pipes, and some of my patio, my pool is finally back to normal.
Did you know that if you fill a pool up with Pattaya city water, the baseline color of that water is a morbid green color similar to infected boogers? Yeah... keep brushing your teeth with the tap water Jil.
Left alone for several days to stagnate, that water will become - when the sun strikes it - a vibrant green that would look good on a sports jersey. When the sun goes behind the clouds, the water is more of a sullen greenish-brown.
Once the new pool filter was put in place (after 48 hours), the water cleaned itself up in a jiffy, and now everything is crystal clear... except the new, blazing white grout: That unfortunately, due to exposure to the algae in the water, has been stained to a pale green color.
Much like my teeth.
