A couple of guys just floated past my yard, entire bodies visible above the 8-foot wall.
Then, I realized they were sitting on elephants.

That's another only in Thailand photo. You probably noticed in the Pattaya Mail that 9 elephants and their mahouts were arrested for street begging, and might be exiled either to the local open zoo, or perhaps back home to Surin. Another only in Thailand story!
Hope I didn't repeat myself, but the first post didn't seem to go through for some reason. Probably mistyped that word identification thingie.
Yeah... I feel bad for those guys. Their really in rock/hard place territory. I mean, really they (and their elephants) are just begging. Sending them off to Surin certainly doesn't help. The zoo would be better, I suppose, but that doesn't help the mahouts much, and they are separated from the elephants. Like I said... tough situation.
