Today is Jeep's birthday, so she is having a party here. About 10 of her friends are coming from around the area... the area being from Bangkok to Chantaburi to Aranya Prathet. I invited Reeza's Mike and a couple of his business associates over for beers during the party so that I could have a conversation also (as I tend to fall behind in Thai party conversations... which are mostly about food anyway).
Toom and Jeep are already spread out on mats on the kitchen floor at 8:00 in the morning mashing and chopping peppers and vegetables for the party. It's a certainty that they will soon be joined by an ever increasing hoarde of Thai ladies spread out on mats on the kitchen floor, nattering and jabbering and mashing and chopping.
