Riding around Pattaya today, everywhere I looked I seemed to see a police officer or a police vehicle patrolling. It was a really nice thing to see, as I always feel safer when a police officer is in sight.Apparently, this is all part of a huge "crackdown on crime" in Pattaya, and a fair ammount of criminals were rounded up today. I hope that this level of police protection stays here with us in Pattaya.
(Maid Go, on the other hand... well, she got a 200 baht ticket from the police for riding her motorcycle without a helmet today. She's of a slightly different opinion.)
