Farang Passerby Stops Thai Woman From Suicide

A heartbroken Thai woman climbed up a tall sign in front Foodland on Pattaya Central Road the other day, and was preparing to jump when a German fellow passing by climbed up the sign himself, and held the woman until further help could arrive.

Although it goes without saying that any person — Thai or Farang alike — would have done the same or similar if confronted with such a situation, it still is nice to see a Farang get the credit for stepping up and doing the right thing for a change in a city where such news of individual responsibility and effort is far too often overshadowed by news that illustrates quite the opposite.

Kudos and congratulations to Herr Yohan who probably saved a life.
