More Pornographers Arrested In Pattaya

Remember kids, Pattaya has no shortage of people who will glady accept a few thousand baht in exchange for letting you take naughty photos of them that you can sell on the internet. Pattaya also has no shortage of police who will throw you in jail if you do.

Why do they always have to be American? I am so ashamed to be associated with this trash! Will it ever end? from Jakal

Oh... I have nothing against pron. I've been known to be an [ahem] occasional consumer even. I therefore thank my pornography suppliers for their contribution to my happiness... but providing it from Thailand is definitely going to lead to jail.

It's like guns. I like guns. I wish I had a gun to go plinking with. However, that's a no-no in Thailand, so therefore, I don't have a gun. I grasp that concept. These guys obviously didn't.

I agree with you. No I am not against the porn. I am against Americans coming to Thailand and doing something illegal that makes my country look foolish. If they wanted to be porn kings they could have done it legally in the U.S. Instead they did it in Thailand so I assume they did something besides just your regular porn. I am guessing children or something along that line was involved. I am tired of fellow Americans giving us a bad image. From Jakal

No no no, Jakal: ALL pornography production and ALL pornography distribution in Thailand is illegal. Period. Playboy? Illegal. Penthouse? Illegal.

I was reading one of the Pattaya newspapers and saw the article about these guys. I was staying in the condominiums next to the ones they were at. Initially I had planned to stay in the same building but my g/f worked out a Thai price for the nicer place that we stayed at. It was a wonderful place. What a small world...

I actually ran into that super-fat guy several times. When I saw him, I thought the same thing every time I saw farang with beautiful women, "Thai women have to be the most loving women in the world."

Usually I'd say that to my g/f who would requip, "Of money..."

She is Thai too and I love the country, the comment is meant in a light-hearted way.

As for the issue of porn, they were guests and should have kept that in mind by being respectful of the culture. It's easy for a lot of farang to forget because of the dichotomy between morality and hedonism that you can't escape in Thailand. They knew what they were risking, just like drug users know the risk they take. If you don't know, then it's not an excuse... there or back here in the US.
