Golfing News In Pattaya

The greater Pattaya area is set to open it's twentieth golf course soon, to be called "Siam Country Club Pattaya Plantation," which is going to come in at 7400 yards, and be PGA certified.

In other golf news, Ex-Prime Minister Thaksin has been elected to head Thailand's Professional Golf Association. The fact that he gave 50 million baht to the organization probably had a lot to do with it.

Well, hopefully we'll start seeing a few PGA tour events in Pattaya soon. There are as many golf courses in this area of Thailand as any equivalent stretch of land in Florida... which is one of the golfers' capitols capitals of the world.

Not to get picky, but is capitals spelled capitols?

(a) No idea.

(b) I thought it was... but then I looked it up. Capitol only refers to the building, while capital refers to the place.
