Actually, I could see the appeal of getting a buzz on and then going out on a jet ski and tear-assing around Pattaya Bay a little bit. I mean, it's not even 1% as crowded as, say, Soi Buakow. I imagine it would be hard to find something to crash into.
One drunk Swede proved me wrong.
UPDATE:
Pattaya has temporarily banned the use of "donut boats" until some further studying can be done. It's entirely possible that the Swede — drunk as he was — might not be the only one at fault. If you've ever watched these donut boats being pulled behind a boat, and watched the boat turn a corner, the donut boat behind will fly out on a wide tangent away from the boat, possibly unexpectedly into the path of other watercraft.
Responsible blogging requires me to say "don't operate jet skis while drunk", but it would also be responsible of me to say "stay off the donut boats" at the same time.
