Pattaya wants to spend 1.3 million baht on this new off-road midget fire truck, called the Fire Fighter III, which looks to me like nothing more than a 4-wheeler with a roll cage and red paint.Aside from a distinct lack of "off-road" places in the decidedly urban landscape of Pattaya where such a vehicle would be necessary, exactly what does this vehicle do? How often is there even an "off-road" fire in Pattaya? Does it carry 500 meters of hose to get water deep into inhospitable areas from nearby fire hydrants? Loads of fire extinguishers? Ladders? Axes?
Well, it's red and shiny, with flashing lights that make Thai people go "Oooo!" and make their eyes light up. Therefore, Pattaya now has a shiny, red, 1.3 million baht motorized Radio Flyer.

What an expensive toy and who ever is selling it must be good friends of someone there on the Pattaya City Council.
Wht else would they spend so much on this amazing fire fighting machine..
