It has been pretty uneventful here in Jil's Pattaya for the past week. I was out partying on Thursday and last Sunday, and have been stuffing myself on calzones delivered from Slices fairly regularly.
The weather pattern has been consistent and predictable here lately: When I wake up in the morning at 7:00 or so, it is a glorious sunny and mild day with vibrant colors and a gentle breeze. Then, at about mid-morning, big fluffy clouds move in and slowly come to dominate the sky. Then, in the afternoon it just all turns into a hot, muggy haze. The breeze dies, and even the colors seem muted in the heat.
Pui is up in Chayabum (the state just to the East of her home state, Petchabun) for the weekend, to visit a relative in the hospital. In Thailand, injury and sickness are far more persuasive reasons than births, marriages, holidays, or even death to go visit long-lost relatives. Pui hasn't been to Chayabum since she was a young child, but a hospitalization is just the reason to reacquaint onself with another person's life here in Thailand.
I am experiencing such a grand amount of schadenfreude from Ms. Hilton's sobbing, hysterical, dragged-off-to-jail-in-front-of-millions- of-fans moment in the spotlight. Sorry honey: But you set yourself up as the hippest, coolest, coyest kitty on the block... and seeing you lose your shit is at least as much fun as the Britney head-shaving episode.
Work has been a little slow with the summer months coming on. Not too good, especially as I have a 2-week trip to New York coming up later this month, and need the cash. Well: I got my credit cards all paid off recently... I'll just have to start busting into those.
