Daily Report: Bus Woes

I was up early today to head out to City Hall to watch Bob get his award. After that, it was back home to mess around with the blog a little bit. Mondays are the worst time to work... especially lately: There simply is nothing left of the weekend work when it is 11:00 p.m. on a Sunday night — or 5:00 a.m. on a Monday morning — back in America.

Pui has been up in Chayabum with Pot visiting family. I had given her 4,000 baht for the weekend, and when she and Pot got on the bus to come back, she had about 200 baht left in her pocket. Unfortunately, she got a bad case of stomach problems on a bus with no bathroom, and had to get off and forfeit the rest of her ticket... with no money with which to buy another ticket.

Fortunately, in the modern age of electronic banking, this was easily remedied: I gave Maid Go 2,000 baht, and she went to an ATM at Pui's bank, and deposited the money into her account, and within minutes, Pui had her ticket money. After a few hours of recovering, she and Pot were back on their way.

At about 8:00 tonight (9:00 a.m. Monday morning on the East Coast of the U.S.), work started trickling in, so I sat down and did a little bit of work to make up for the rest of the day which was completely devoid of work.
