When one thinks of clean living, healthy eating, and a good diet, one's mind naturally turns to Walking Street, and thus a parade celebrating the commencement of this year's vegetarian festival made its way from Bali Hai pier, down Walking Street — Thailand's largest meat market — passing indignant bug vendors along the way, and then out to Second Road.
I suppose theoretically I could stop eating animals for 10 days if I had to. Uh... is yeast an animal? That could be problematic, since I was thinking of a barley-heavy diet to tide me over the rough patches when the sweet song of sizzling steak is the only thing my ears want to hear.
