tasers don't kill people - cops kill people
I disagree with that statement.
Police use tasers with the belief that they are not lethal.
The statement "guns don't kill people... people do" is true because people pick up a gun with full knowledge of its killing capacity. That is not the case with tasers.
Did you see the use of the taser in Vancouver? The taser seemed to be
used properly ( although multiple times)but the RCMP then stood on the guys neck which is not recommended by the taser people) and he died. It was not the use of the taser that killed him ( still to be determined) but the police's lack of knowledge how to treat a suspect after. The police also tend to use the taser multiple times and that is another reason why people die. I feel that the police should have to do the same reports & be under the same review as with other hand guns.
I must stand by my statement.
stupid people get themselves into situations that cause police to use force against them.
Tasers have saved more lives (vs. using batons and firearms) as these are the choices after verbal commands fail to sink into the sods that don't listen.
