Epril, Geoff, Honey Mae, and I actually ran into (got stuck in the traffic of) this event in Bangsaen when we went to the aquarium on Sunday: The
Bangsaen Thailand Speed Festival, which featured professional drivers and Thai celebrities driving on a street course that is reported to be the longest racecourse in Thailand.
Once again, somebody has a huge amount of valuables (40,000 baht in cash, a 30,000-baht necklace, credit cards, ATM card, and mobile phones) stolen from their house. News flash folks: Pattaya is the break-in capital of Thailand. Operate on the assumption that a break-in will happen eventually, and try to minimize your losses by not leaving valuables around.
