Pattaya News Roundup

We start off with a foreigner who was producing and selling mass quantities of amphetamines from his mansion in Jomtien. Almost one billion baht in drugs was seized, which puts this guy in a class all his own. Obviously, if/when convicted, he will be spending the rest of his life in prison.

Here's a surprise: If you take 24 Viagra-type pills and wash it down with generous quantities of rum, you will die. Apparently death-by-Viagra deaths are on the rise in Pattaya. I suppose if you're going to go, you might as well go with a smile. It certainly beats the old-school death-by-Pattaya method, the balcony dive.

Internet café owners are accusing police of sending customers into their businesses to use their computers, and these customers then deposit porn and music files on the computers before leaving. The police come in and confiscate the computers and demand 20,000 baht per machine for their return. Obviously, internet café owners should start checking their computers for new files after each customer leaves.
