Remember Google Trends? It allows you find out how often a particular term has been searched for on Google.
Now, look at this picture:
The blue line is people searching for the keyword "Brokeback Mountain". The red line... that's people searching for the keyword "gay sex". Notice anything about that red line? Notice anything peculiar that happens to that red line shortly after that vertical line which marks the nationwide release of "Brokeback Mountain"?Whew! Good thing I haven't seen that movie yet. God knows what I'd be doing on the internet instead of typing in my blog.
