The police here in Pattaya have been working hard to reduce crime in the city, and one of their efforts has been through the use of road blocks.(I remember saying here that in order to reduce crime, the police should just harrass young Thai kids driving around at 1:00 a.m. until they realize that Pattaya is just too much of a hassle. Glad they took my advice.)
Anyway, by some estimates, crime in Pattaya is down 50% over last year. That brings us down into Johannesburg territory! Well, I do have to admit that there used to be about two murders a week in this city. Now, I haven't read about one in almost a month.
