For a $25,000 one-time fee, you get what essentially amounts to a life-time visa, never having to do a visa run again. (The luxury airport lounge and limo services, free flight upgrades, medical care, and club memberships, are certainly nice too. I was also told that it allows one to purchase up to 2 rai of land (a little shy of an acre), but I can't find that mentioned on the website.)
Just a thought.

Don't be fooled by the land purchase section of the Elite card.
It only allows you to purchase the land, but it is still held in a 'company trust' type of title.
A foreigner still cannot own land.
Just my 2 cents.

Actually, that was what I was reading just prior to writing this post about the Elite Card.
A thought that didn't cross my mind is what effect the coup will have on the Thai Elite card. Will have to wait and see.
