Daily Report: Chicken Fried Distraction

Up at my usual hour... 9:00. I have to fix that. My sleeping/waking times come in phases about 3 or 4 weeks at a time... going from bright and early (6:00) to frustratingly late (10:30). Alarm clocks have nothing to do with it; bedtime only slightly more.

Work went well today. Maid Go made vegetable teriyaki for lunch, which was pretty enjoyable. (I was going to try to eat it in 3 separate sittings, a la the "small meal plan", but instead I ate just one medium-sized plateful.)

In the evening, I went out to Shooters to hang out with Bob and Manfred. Every Tuesday, Bob gives away free food — so I probably would have been better off staying home with my diet — and tonight he was giving away free chicken fried steak sandwiches with extra-thick gravy. Damn you Evil Bob.

Well, I did only eat half of a sandwich instead of a whole one.

So the diet starts back up again tomorrow, I guess.

I see that the Thai Baht has continued its snail-like (likely meaningless) upward climb for yet another 2 days. It's gone from a low of 33.6 baht to the dollar up to 34.1 over the last 4 business days. Oh, I can't tell you how much it would mean to me to see the baht back up to is original 40-to-the-dollar level. As it stands right now, with the strong baht, I've been losing about 40,000 baht ($1,200) per month from my income compared to what I was getting before... and of course, as with all people, that 40,000 missing baht is the 40,000 most enjoyable baht: The baht spent on fun / miscellaneous / lavish doodads; or, if you're like I was... renting expensive houses. (Sigh. I miss the old place.)

Your house now is just fine; I think it is a perfect set up. BUT, I didn't see the old place.

Glad work is going good for you; say hello to Pui and Go for me please.

See you soon....???
